Geographical Information Systems is a collaborative program with Fleming College. It is available to students in the Honours BSc or BA program at Trent University in Geography or in Environmental & Resource Science. Students admitted to the program register as full-time Fleming College students during the third year of their Honours program at Trent. The Northern Ontario School of Medicine serves as the Faculty of Medicine for Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and Laurentian University in Sudbury and, upon acceptance into the MD Program, students are assigned to one of these two host universities.

Admission Requirements:

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident (landed immigrant).
  • Four-year undergraduate degree. Applicants may apply in the final year of their program.
  • Mature applicants (25 years of age or older at the time of the application deadline) may apply with a three year degree.
  • Overall minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • NOSM does not require the MCAT.

Issu d’un travail de collaboration unique entre les chercheurs de la Faculté de médecine et ses instituts affiliés, le baccalauréat ès sciences spécialisé en médecine moléculaire et translationnelle allie le cyberapprentissage aux cours théoriques et pratiques pour offrir aux étudiants et étudiantes un environnement enrichissant et des occasions de recherche innovatrice tout au long de leurs études.

Le baccalauréat ès sciences spécialisé en médecine moléculaire et translationelle propose plus de laboratoires de pointe que tout autre programme de premier cycle au Canada. La formation étant donnée par des spécialistes des sciences fondamentales et par des cliniciens, les étudiants et étudiantes acquerront les compétences qu’il leur faut pour faire de la recherche biomédicale de pointe.

Exigences d'admission : 2 années d'études de premier cycle en sciences ou études équivalentes (60 crédits) avec une moyenne pondérée cumulative d'au moins 7,7.

Music Performance Diploma (3-Year Program)

The Music Performance Diploma is a 3-year program designed for students who are also concurrently enrolled in a non-music degree. The program is flexible and permits students to focus exclusively on music study. It offers weekly 1-hour lessons. Although diploma holders represent performers of high artistic achievement, graduate schools generally require an academic degree as well. New applicants to the Music Performance Diploma program who are new to Western University should contact the Recruitment Officer, Sasha Gorbasew (agorbase@uwo.ca), before applying.

Music Therapy develops a client's potential abilities and enhances their quality of life by using music to address physical, emotional, intellectual or learning challenges. As a student, participate in a variety of group and individual music therapy placements in our on-site clinics and throughout the community with a diverse set of clients including those with learning disabilities, autism, special needs, adolescents and geriatrics. You can apply to the Bachelor of Music Therapy at the end of your second year in Laurier’s Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music in Community Music. Admission is based on:
